    Michael Jackson's son Prince pays tribute on death anniversary, Janet poses with impersonator

    Michael Jackson 's son Prince Jackson paid a bittersweet tribute to the late King of Pop on the 15th anniversary of his death.

    "Miss you pops. The world felt better with you in it," the 27-year-old wrote on his Instagram Story on June 25, according to screenshots shared by People and Complex .

    The heartfelt post included an image of Michael Jackson surrounded by performers during the pop star's 1993 Super Bowl XXVII halftime show.

    Michael Jackson died June 25, 2009 , at his home in Los Angeles of an accidental drug overdose. He was 50.

    The late "Thriller" singer's siblings also paid tribute to their brother.

    Janet Jackson didn't post a tribute on social media, but she has been performing "Scream" at her recent concerts , according to videos shared by fans . The 1995 song was a duet with Michael Jackson.

    The "I Get Lonely" singer also posed with Michael Jackson impersonator Carlo Riley during a meet and greet on Friday, per photos shared by TMZ . Riley met the late pop star in 2007 and several other members of the Jackson family on different occasions.

    "You changed the world with such exuberant talent in many ways!!! We love you! We will always miss you! 😘Gone too soon!😘I miss you and I will always love you 😔," La Toya Jackson captioned a video montage of Michael Jackson, along with him singing his 1991 song "Gone Too Soon."

    Jackie Jackson, the eldest brother of the Jackson 5, posted a black and white image of him and Michael Jackson as a child captioned, "Hard to believe it's been 15 years without you. Miss you everyday."

    Tito Jackson also shared a black and white image of his younger brother along with the hashtags "#15yearswithoutmichaeljackson #gonetoosoon #alwaysinourhearts #MJ4ever #missyoumuch #nowords."

    Michael Jackson's three children — Prince, Paris and Bigi Jackson — paid tribute to their father in a rare joint red carpet appearance in March to attend the Tony-winning "MJ: The Musical," which debuted on Broadway in 2022 and recently opened in London's West End.

    The play offers "a rare look at the creative mind and collaborative spirit that catapulted Michael Jackson into legendary status" and takes place at a Los Angeles rehearsal studio in 1992, before he launched his "Dangerous" tour in Germany.

    Paris Jackson slams 'abuse' from Michael Jackson superfans over birthday post for King of Pop

    Paris Jackson, 26, has previously said on Instagram that she doesn't post for her dad's birthday because in the past she's been chastised by superfans for not posting about Michael Jackson on social media.

    "It apparently means that you don’t love them, you don’t care about them," she said sarcastically in a video she posted in August.

    Michael Jackson's estate is gearing up to bring new life to the late singer's story in an upcoming biopic starring his 27-year-old nephew, Jaafar Jackson . "Michael," which is directed by Antoine Fuqua, is currently filming and is scheduled for an April 18, 2025, release.
