    Kalki 2898 AD ending spoilers

At the end of Kalki 2898 AD, Yaskin’s commander nearly captures Sumati (played by Deepika Padukone) to take her to the Complex. Meanwhile, Bhairava (played by Prabhas) accidentally gets Ashwatthama’s (played by Amitabh Bachchan) stick while lying on the ground. Soon after this, a flashback reveals his identity as the great Mahabharata warrior, Karna.

In his Karna ‘avatar’, Bhairava kills Yaskin’s commander, leading Ashwatthama to believe that the former is either an incarnation or re-carnation of the warrior. Ultimately, the film concludes with Bhairava kidnapping Sumati from Ashwatthama’s possession.

Was Ashwatthama able to rescue Sumati (Sum-80) from the Yaskin army?

The movie begins with an introduction to the current landscape of Earth, divided into three distinct areas: Complex, Kashi, and Shambala . Bhairava, a bounty hunter, aims to enter the Complex to live a luxurious life, for which he needs 1 million coins.

In the Complex, Yaskin, portrayed by Kamal Haasan, is revered as the supreme authority. He initiates Project K, overseen by his commander, to attain ultimate power. Meanwhile, a scientist attempts to assassinate Yaskin with a fabricated serum but fails. At the same time, the project also fails as none of the fertile women are able to carry a baby for more than three months.

However, in a turn of events, Sumati is able to keep her baby alive in her womb for five months. They then forcibly test the serum machine on her but it malfunctions. This allows Sumati to escape from the Complex. A spy and her associates help her in reaching Shambala, where she can safely give birth to God.

Further, the film introduces Ashwatthama, who has been waiting in a dark cave to fulfill his mission. When drops of water begin falling on the Shivling in the cave, he believes it’s the right time to rescue the god within Sumati’s womb.

Ashwatthama confronts Yaskin’s army on his mission, aided by his young companion, and engages in a high-stakes showdown with Bhairava. Emerging victorious, Ashwatthama rescues Sumati and they both go to Shambhala.

Prabhas kidnapped sum-80 after appeared as Karna infront of Ashwatthama?

Following his defeat, Bhairava makes a pact with Yaskin’s army commander to retrieve Sumati, and gain entry into the Complex. With the help of a fan from Shambala he encountered during his bounty hunting, Bhairava enters the place. This time, he is prepared to confront Ashwatthama. A fierce battle ensues between the two, but Yaskin’s army tracks Bhairava through Bujji and reaches Shambhala.

Chaos erupts as Shambala’s army clashes with Yaskin’s forces while Bhairava fights Ashwatthama. The conflict peaks when Mariam, a senior member of Shambala, sacrifices herself while battling Yaskin’s commander to protect Sumati.

Soon after, Yaskin’s commander traps Ashwatthama and is about to capture Sumati to take back to the Complex. However, amid this, Ashwatthama’s stick falls into Bhairava’s hands which leads to a flashback to the Mahabharata, hinting that he might be an incarnation of the warrior Karna.

As Karna, Bhairava kills Yaskin’s commander and rescues Sumati. This surprises Ashwatthama, as he hears the same dialogue that Karna had used during his confrontation with Arjuna in the Mahabharata. Suddenly, Bujji calls Bhairava, snapping him out of his Karna persona.

Bhairava then kidnaps Sumati, as Ashwatthama is trapped by Yaskin’s army weapon. However, he breaks free and halts Bhairava’s escape attempt. Despite this, Bhairava uses Bujji’s booster to flee, leaving Ashwathama behind, as the film ends.

In conclusion, a sequel in Nag Ashwin’s cinematic universe is confirmed with a graphical image and a to-be-continued message . In a post-credit scene, Yaskin obtains a drop from Sumati’s womb, which makes him more powerful . Stay tuned for more updates.
