Ariana Grande’s shocking new revelation has got fans thinking she’s out of her Wicked flipping mind…
As we previously covered, the singer caused a stir when she revealed that she once expressed interest in having a sit-down dinner with the late serial killer, Jeffrey Dahmer. This revelation has not been well-received by online users and even the family of Tony Hughes, one of Dahmer’s victims.
In an emotional response, Tony’s mother, Shirley, spoke with @tmz_tv and expressed her disappointment and hurt, hoping that Ariana understands the impact of her comments. Shirley, who still grapples with the pain of losing her son to Dahmer’s heinous acts in 1991, was disturbed by Ariana’s casual laughter during the podcast while discussing her fascination with Dahmer. “To me, it seems like she’s sick in her mind. It’s not fancy or funny to say you would have wanted to do dinner with him. It’s also not something you should say to young people, which she says she did,” with the group of young fans during a Q&A early in her career.
Shirley believes that Ariana’s comments, along with the recent Netflix series “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” featuring Evan Peters as the infamous cannibal, only serve to glamorize a man responsible for unimaginable pain and suffering.
Meanwhile, Barbara, Tony’s sister, echoes this sentiment and hopes for an apology from Ariana to make it clear to her fans that such sentiments are not acceptable, TMZ notes.
Barbara sums up their frustration by highlighting the unfortunate reality that Ariana may not fully comprehend the anguish endured by victims’ families until she experiences a similar tragedy within her own circle.
Jeffrey Dahmer was an infamous American serial killer and sex offender who gained notoriety in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Born in 1960, Dahmer committed a series of gruesome crimes between 1978 and 1991, during which he murdered and dismembered 17 men and boys. His crimes often involved rape, necrophilia, and cannibalism.
Dahmer’s heinous acts shocked the nation and captivated media attention, earning him the moniker “The Milwaukee Cannibal” or “The Milwaukee Monster.” His modus operandi involved luring vulnerable individuals, mainly young men, to his apartment under various pretexts. There, he would drug them, engage in sexual acts, and eventually kill them.
After his arrest in 1991, Dahmer confessed to his crimes, revealing the horrifying details of his acts of violence and depravity. He was convicted and sentenced to multiple life terms in prison. However, his time behind bars was short-lived, as Dahmer was brutally murdered by a fellow inmate in 1994.
Ariana Grande has not yet released a statement following the backlash from her latest interview.
