Teen Mom star Cheyenne Davis has been slammed by fans after she allegedly let her toddler play by her swimming pool unsupervised .

Followers of the star spotted on her social media that she had posted a story where she was seen standing in the kitchen cooking and chatting to the camera as the youngster stood outside by the pool appearing to be alone. Eagle-eyed fans very quickly spotted the risk to the young child's safety as they rushed to comment.

Some fans suggested that perhaps someone else was in the garden with the child as he played, however, other dismissed the idea as they stated that she had said nobody else was home except for her and Ace. Sharing a screenshot showing the infant outside one fan wrote: "Cheyenne letting her toddler play by the pool alone (she literally stated no one was home but her and ace) wth!!!"

Taking to Reddit other followers of the star then commented on the situation. One posted: "Even if he knows how to swim, he should not be left alone and unattended around a pool, if he slips and hurts himself, all the swimming lessons won’t mean s---. She’s such a self absorbed a------."

A second said: "Even an adult can bang their head and drown. No one should be alone around a pool, let alone a child. What she is forgetting is that drowning is usually silent. Not like on a TV show where the drowning person splashes and screams."

A third scathed: "If there's no one out there with him, she is really stupid. My son almost drowned because I took his puddle jumper off when we were leaving the pool and he went back in the pool while I was grabbing our stuff. There was absolutely no noise and it happened in a second. You have to be hyper-vigilant with kids (or anyone for that matter) around water."

A fourth social media user suggested: "The pool may have an alarm that activates when an object falls in. My neighbor's pool has one after her dog fell in and drowned. It is loud! (Still no excuse for not following extreme water safety measures with your child!)"

A fifth commented: "She said they removed the pool alarm after the inspection because it was 'too sensitive and too loud' the things these people openly admit give us every right to talk s--- and be mortified. Drowning is such a real threat to kids…especially at this age. I cannot imagine leaving them alone like that. So irresponsible."
