Man charged with sexual crimes against three children

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man has been arrested after police say he was involved in three separate cases of child sexual abuse.

According to the Scranton Police Special Victims Unit, officers arrested 26-year-old Marquis Richardson from New Jersey after three different investigations took place over six years.

Police say Richardson was a suspect in two previous sexual assaults of a child in 2018. Then, in May, Richardson became a suspect in a similar investigation involving two other children.

Richardson has been charged with the following;

• Rape of a child
• Involuntary deviate sexual intercourse
• Sexual assault
• Statutory sexual assault
• Aggravated incident assault
• Corruption of minors
• Indecent exposure
