Like his dad, Lukas Nelson is passionate about creating and performing songs that are sure to leave a lasting impression. This can be seen in the 35-year-old’s band, Promise of the Real. Through the years, Lukas has developed his own unique sound. That said, this week’s events are reminding fans of just how much he can sound just like Willie, when needed.

That’s because Lukas, and their family band, stepped up to perform at the 2024 Outlaw Music Festival. Willie himself was meant to perform instead, but that changed last minute due to health issues . The 91 year old, who still regularly performs, is expected to make his own appearance soon. In the meantime, however, fans are very much enjoying Lukas’ renditions of some of his most beloved music!
