High school football: Shenandoah District schedules released for 2024 season

The Virginia High School League released the 2024 football schedule Thursday. The regular season begins Aug. 30 and runs through Nov. 8.

You can pretty much flip the home and away teams from a year ago and have the schedule this year. There is only one new team on the schedule.

Riverheads will travel to Rocktown, the brand new high school in Harrisonburg, on Sept. 20. The Gladiators won't play John Marshall this year. Well, they didn't play them last year either after John Marshall forfeited the contest, but the game is not on the schedule this year.
