By this point, most of us are familiar with the term "Golden Retriever personality." It's usually used to describe anyone whose demeanor is similar to the easygoing dogs — it's someone who's usually happy go lucky, friendly, and ready to roll with the punches (and being cute like the dogs are can't possibly hurt, either). I've always wondered if there are more terms based on dogs' personalities on the way, and now, I think I've found the next one after watching this TikTok video.
If we're talking about a particularly sassy person, we might do better to describe them as a French Bulldog... at least, if they're anything like the one below:
In this TikTok video shared by @frenchiemom.23 on Tuesday, June 25, we can see a French Bulldog who just won't listen to her mama... and another French Bulldog who appears to have a bit less attitude but also isn't willing to help out at all.
From what I gathered from watching the video, this sassy girl — whose name is Tater Tot, OMG — got caught eating her food on a pillow, which she is not supposed to do. And she's not at all sorry for it, either, even barking back at her mom when she's trying to talk to her about it.
Much like a petulant teenager, Tater Tot isn't afraid to talk back, and it goes on for so long that at one point, her mom asks her, "Are you gonna do this all night?" If she has to, she will!
By the end of the video, she's got such an attitude that she's picking a fight with her sister, Fiona, wrestling on the rug together. Sigh. Some dogs are just like this...
The Personality of a French Bulldog
While there are certainly French Bulldogs out there who are far more chill than our girl Tater Tot seems to be, a big personality is par for the course when it comes to these adorable pooches.
In general, French Bulldogs are very playful dogs , though they don't tend to be aggressive. They are also very friendly and enjoy spending time with other dogs and other people, and for that reason, they also make great family dogs.
But while some aspects of their personalities are baked in, others will be for their humans to shape through training and the way they are raised... and they will all be unique. The best thing about these truly sassy dogs is that there's never a dull moment to be had.
So basically, Tater Tot's mom knew what she was getting into when she adopted her. But despite all that attitude, I have a feeling she wouldn't want it any other way!
