    When is Ohio’s Sales Tax Holiday?

    (WJW) – Forget your tax-free weekend. How about a full 10 days?

    Governor Mike DeWine announced the 2024 expanded Sales Tax Holiday will take place from 12 a.m. Tuesday, July 30 to 11:59 p.m. Thursday, August 8.

    The holiday will allow families to make tax-free purchases in-person or online on eligible items up to $500.

    What items are eligible?

    Anything under $500 except for watercraft, outboard motors, motor vehicles, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, vapor products or marijuana products.

    The previous sales tax holiday included only school-related items with a $75 limit.
