Michael Jackson’s Son Prince Pays Tribute To Late Father On Anniversary Of His Death

It has been 15 years since the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, died from a cardiac arrest due to a propofol overdose. The singer left behind three kids, Prince, Paris, and Bigi, who have now grown up to uphold his legacy in their own unique ways.

Prince joined his siblings and other family members to pay tribute to Jackson via social media on his death anniversary. The 27-year-old shared a photo of the long-deceased icon performing with children during 1993’s Super Bowl XXVII halftime show.

Prince accompanied the photo with a short note that read, “Miss you pops. The world felt better with you in it.” He also added the hit song, “We Are The World” to the post, which is reminiscent of the talented artist’s collaboration with the likes of Cyndi Lauper and Lionel Richie. Prince was only 12 when he lost his father, leaving him to continue his teenage years without his guidance.

Prince graduated from Loyola Marymount University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. During his studentship, he founded a charity named Heal to provide toys, food, and educational resources to inter-city youth in Los Angeles. During the pandemic, he teamed up with meal delivery service Fresh ‘N’ Lean to provide for those in need.

Jackson’s older brother, Jackie, shared a throwback black-and-white photo of himself and his little brother sharing a wholesome moment. “Hard to believe it’s been 15 years without you. We miss you everyday,” he wrote. Fans joined him to reminisce about Jackson’s lifetime and impact on the music industry and beyond.

Other family members, including Tito and his son TJ, posted their tributes on Instagram, accompanied by photos of Jackson in his element. “These 15 years went by so quickly but it feels like forever all at once, I can’t imagine how it feels for you all that were close to him,” a user gushed.
