Buffalo Man Faces Multiple Charges Following Alleged Assault on Elderly Woman

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man has been arrested on multiple charges, including public lewdness, burglary, harassment, and trespassing, less than three weeks after being detained for indecent exposure, according to the Buffalo Police Department.

Authorities allege that 26-year-old Orlando Martinez, Jr. offered to assist a 62-year-old woman up the stairs to her apartment on Delaware Avenue on the evening of June 15. Once they reached her door, he reportedly pushed her inside and performed a sexual act before fleeing the scene.

Martinez was apprehended on June 20 and charged with third-degree burglary, public lewdness, second-degree harassment, and trespassing. He was arraigned in Buffalo City Court on Friday.

This incident follows a previous arrest on May 31, when Martinez was charged with two counts of public lewdness for alleged incidents of indecent exposure on May 28. At that time, he was released on an appearance ticket.

The Buffalo Police Department continues to investigate these incidents, and anyone with additional information is encouraged to come forward.
