CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — A Virginia-based bank looking to recover more than $300 million in defaulted business loans from the family of Republican U.S. Senate candidate and Gov. Jim Justice has reached a settlement with the family, according to a press release.

Carter Bank & Trust prepared to auction off pieces of the Greenbrier Sporting Club, a private equity club and residential community that opened in 2000. The family then sued the bank.

According to the settlement, that sale won’t happen and the loans will be paid off as a part of a mutual agreement between the Justice family and the bank.
