Prepare yourself for a walk through time, where history meets community! Pilgrim Hall Museum announced that their Executive Director, Dr. Donna Curtin, will guide "A Walk in the Park: Manomet Past & Present" at St. Catherine’s Chapel Park on Sunday, July 7th at 1 pm. For those unfamiliar with the area, St. Catherine’s Chapel Park is a beautiful, pastoral two-acre park located at 95 White Horse Road in Manomet, owned by the non-profit Simes House Foundation.

"Encounter the story of Manomet on a family-friendly historical walk through St. Catherine’s Chapel Park,” says Pilgrim Hall Museum. "Manomet's far-ranging past extends beyond early Plymouth Colony, encompassing the deep-time presence of the Wampanoag people and centuries of post-colonial change to people and places of recent memory."

The park, a favorite spot for neighborhood locals, "features a series of historical markers on familiar Manomet and White Horse Beach landmarks, from old-time summer resorts to nearby beaches, ponds and historic sites." During the guided walk attendees are invited to hear stories of Manomet, past and present.

What makes it even better? The event is completely free and open to the public. As a cherry on top, complimentary lemonade and cookies will be served, providing a sweet treat to accompany the fascinating tales of Manomet's history. This event is a wonderful opportunity to not only learn more about the rich history of the Manomet area but also to connect with the community. Don't miss out on this historical walk in the park!
