    Two arrested by Florida police in connection to Lee County homicide, third suspect sought

    LEE COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) – Two people were taken into custody in connection to the homicide of Jerry Lee Wheet, whose remains were discovered on a Lee County ATV trail in April.

    According to a release from the Virginia State Police, two people were taken into custody this week by officials in Florida, and state police are looking for a third suspect.

    The Suwannee County Florida Sheriff’s Office took Amos Lee “Leebo” Hall, 39, of Rose Hill, Va., into custody on Wednesday on one felony charge of 1st Degree Murder and one felony charge of Conspiracy to Commit 1st Degree Murder.

    VSP: One dead following crash on Interstate 81 in Washington County

    The Suwanee County Sheriff’s Office arrested Christopher N. Holeman, 33, of White Springs, Fla., on Monday for Conspiracy to Commit 1st Degree Murder.

    The VSP is searching for Virginia Redden, 41, of Ewing, Va., after obtaining a felony arrest warrant for Conspiracy to Commit 1st Degree Murder.

    Hall and Holeman are awaiting extradition to Virginia.

    The investigation is ongoing.

    The Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Wytheville Field Office, the Suwannee County, Fla. Sheriff’s Office, Columbia County, Fla. Sheriff’s Office and the Lee County, Va. Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrests.
