first of all you do not know this young man. He has psychological issues. He also may have been off his medication. This young man does the best he can with the limited resources. This young man was a straight A student until his issues took affect of him. Instead of bashing him and labeling. Maybe get the back ground and history.

Sounds like an inside job. And the "witness" must have been really close by, to see keys in hand, hear a conversation, and be undetected. And there happens to be a "guy with a backhoe in the ditch" after business hours? This whole story smells bad...
