    NBA Draft: Former NEO alum Jonathan Mogbo Selected by the Toronto Raptors in the 2024 NBA Draft

    MIAMI , OK — Former NEO alum Jonathan Mogbo has been selected by the Toronto Raptors in the 2024 NBA Draft. He was selected in the 2nd Round with the 31st overall pick.

    Mogbo now joins the likes of Scottie Barnes, RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and Gradey Dick.

    Mogbo played for the Golden Norsemen back in 2021-22. He spent one season with NEO before transferring to Missouri State.

    During his time in Miami, he averaged 14.3 points per game to go with 10.5 rebounds per game which led NJCAA Region 2 players.

    He scored in double figures 26 times to earn himself NJCAA First Team All-Region honors. He had a season-high 28 points against Casper on Nov. 19, 2021.

    After one season at NEO, Mogbo announced he was committing to Missouri State University.

    In his time as a Bear, he appeared in 30 games and started 28 of them averaging 8.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks per game.

    Mogbo led the Bears in field goal percentage shotting 58.9% from the field and racked up 34 blocks.

    He was ranked second in the Missouri Valley Conference in offensive rebounding (2.5), fourth in blocks (1.13) and 7th in total rebounds per game (6.97).

    After spending one season in Springfield, Mogbo entered the transfer portal and found a new home with the University of San Francisco.

    With the Dons, Mogbo burst onto the scene once again making a name for himself and his impact known on the court.

    He started all 34 games for the Dons where he averaged 14.2 points, 10.1 rebounds per game.

    In their conference game against Pacific, Mogbo had a career high of 30 points.

    Mogbo was one of 16 Division I players to average a double double during the season.

    Mogbo cemented himself as one of the more intriguing prospects in the draft with his 7’2 wingspan and a 9′ standing reach.

    Throughout the draft process, Mogbo elevated his standing with NBA teams.
