WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA—Bucks County residents can get rid of a long list of hazardous waste at a drop-off in Warrington this weekend.

The Bucks County Planning Commission is holding the collection event on June 29 at Central Bucks South High School from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bucks County residents can drop off up to 25 gallons or 220 pounds of items like pesticides, oil-based paint (not latex paint), flammables, fire extinguishers, antifreeze, batteries and propane tanks.

(A more complete list of what can and can’t be dropped off is on the planning commission’s Facebook page.)

The planning commission is trying to keep hazardous materials from polluting the environment and harming sanitation workers.
