Khloé Kardashian is ringing in a milestone birthday, and to celebrate, she gathered up all of her favorite people, including her rarely-photographed brother Rob .
The Good American founder turned 40 on June 27 and marked her special day with a sweet clip from an intimate gathering with friends and family. The video started with a shot of an expertly decorated birthday cake that featured various shades of light purple icing piped into roses and other patterns being placed before the birthday girl as she prepared to blow out the candles.
The camera operator then did a quick sweep of the room, offering a glimpse of those at the table, which included her younger brother and her grandma, Mary Jo Campbell , before the video cut to a montage of throwback photos and more recent clips that showed Khloé posing solo as well as with loved ones over the years.
"Deeply Grateful For Every Moment ✨🤍," Khloé began in the Instagram caption of her latest post to the picture-sharing platform. "I love you! I am so excited and thankful for this fresh decade and all it has in store!!!"
Thursday's heartfelt video was uploaded with a trending audio about birthdays , which suggests that "When you wake up on your birthday, you expect to feel your new age, but you don't. You open your eyes, and everything is just like yesterday, only it's today, and you don't feel your new age at all." The narrator later explains that feeling is "because the way we grow older is kind of like an onion, each year inside the next one."
While fans of The Kardashians were certainly happy to see Rob in good spirits, the comments quickly became overwhelmed with love and optimistic wishes for the birthday girl.
