After she and Nicki Minaj had a low-simmering beef earlier this year, Megan Thee Stallion has seemingly addressed her one-time ally on “Rattle,” a track included on her freshly released album “Megan.”

Megan, who’s currently on her first headlining “Hot Girl Summer” tour, appears to respond to Minaj on “Rattle,” taking subliminal shots at her former collaborator. “Ain’t got no tea on me, this hoe think she TMZ,” she says at the top of the track, and repeats throughout.

Of course, the internet is divided over who the shot is fired at — potentially her former best friend Kelsey Nicole, who also seems relevant to the lyrics. But Minaj also fits the script, as their issues came to a head earlier this year after Megan released “Hiss,” which opens her latest album. On that track, she raps, “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law,” a clear shot at Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty, who was convicted of first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old. Megan’s Law requires authorities to make all information about sex offenders public.

Minaj did not take kindly to the bar. She swiftly released “Big Foot,” making fun of an incident where Megan was shot in the foot by incarcerated musician Tory Lanez.

She also digs in on a “bad bitch link up,” which may refer to Minaj bringing out JT, Bia, Maliibu Miitch, Katie Got Bandz and Akbar V at a stop on her “Pink Friday 2” world tour in April. “I wanted everybody right here with me, but it was my fault being too friendly,” she raps. “I was thinking everything’s all good, but the whole time you was my enemy / Only time y’all n—s in agreement is when all y’all tryna go against me / Only time y’all weak hoes link up is when another bitch tryna get rid of me.”

Megan could also be referencing her Minaj collaboration on “Hot Girl Summer” from 2019. “Damn bitch it been four years / Worry ’bout your man and your kid / Your life must be boring as fuck if you’re still reminiscin’ ’bout shit we did / And I ain’t worried ’bout the bigger bitch link up / Y’all hoes earned them seats in the fan club.”

“Megan,” her third studio album, marks her first studio release to arrive on her own shingle Hot Girl Productions after leaving 300 Entertainment and 1501 Certified. The record features collaborations with UGK, Victoria Monét and GloRilla, as well as the singles “Hiss,” “Boa” and “Cobra.”
