Following Shoto’s dramatic win against Dabi, My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 9 will focus on the aftermath as the heroes get a huge morale boost from his victory. The episode will also see Endeavour and Hawks start their battle against AFO.
Episode 8 recap
The episode continues from where the previous episode left off, with Dabi confronting Todoroki. The episode then goes on to explain Toya’s past and how Dabi was born. It explains that after the incident that caused his body to burn up in the mountains, he woke up three years later in a facility with other children. Shocked by his new surroundings, he asks to return home to train with his father.
However, he learns that his body is damaged, and his quirk will never be the same as it was before. Refusing to believe it, he burns the facility and escapes. Upon returning home, he sees his father’s same ruthless expression directed towards his brother and knows nothing will change if he returns. Thus, he decides to spend his time watching videos of his dad and learning all his moves.
Then, this episode of My Hero Academia Season 7 returns to the present, and Dabi launches a vicious attack which sends Shoto flying. However, Shoto prepared his original move, Flashfire Fist Phosphor, against his brother. Dabi struggles to get up and is excited to see how strong Shoto is. Dabi prepares his attack, but Shoto’s flames die out before he can counter. However, his friends step in to protect him and give him time to prepare again. Shoto then hits Dabi with another move, Great Glacial Aegir, which renders the villain unconscious.
