CHEYENNE – Last month, the Laramie County Board of County Commissioners denied requests for permits to sell fireworks submitted by Artillery World and Jurassic Fireworks, which are both owned by Breanna Elliott. A district court judge has suspended that decision, however, allowing the businesses to operate during their peak season.

Frank “Pete” Elliott Jr., Breanna Elliott’s father, oversees much of the operations of the fireworks businesses. He said the commissioners' decision was unconstitutional, likening his efforts to protect the business to that of Rosa Parks’ efforts in the civil rights era.
