The following are restaurant inspections with critical violations, as conducted by the Guernsey County Health Department from June 17 to 21.

    June 17

Ranch House Registration Center, 74978 Broadhead Road, Kimbolton. The sanitizer strength in the three-compartment sink registered 100 parts per million (ppm) and 0 ppm in the sanitizing bucket. Quat sanitizing strength must be at least 200 ppm to effectively sanitize dishes. The lettuce in the prep unit was dated June 16 and not discarded when required.

Salt Fork Pro Shop 30074, 14755 Cadiz Road, Lore City. Hot dog buns, hamburger buns, and bread in packaging that did not bear ingredient labeling. Employees present are not able to produce ingredient listings upon request. Raw shell eggs stored above ready-to-eat foods. A wall-mounted sanitizer and detergent dispenser is not properly dispensing solutions. The concentration of sanitizing solution registered 0 ppm. Mold-like substances and other buildup expelled from the discharge line when the unit was turned on.

    June 18

Faith Community Childcare, 192 S. Second St., Byesville. The person in charge (PIC) is unable to demonstrate knowledge of preventing foodborne illness by controlling contamination, personal hygiene, and facility maintenance. The PIC is unable to demonstrate knowledge by having no critical violations. Employees are not informed in a verifiable manner of their responsibility to report information about their health. PIC could not locate the employee health policy that was given via email and during the previous inspection. The handwashing sink was obstructed and not easily accessible. Butter packets were sitting out at room temperature. Baby food, baby formula, and noodles were below chemicals in the kitchen area. Mop water is being dumped outside of the facility because the mop room is cluttered and the mop sink is not easily accessible.

    June 20

Galaxy Pizza, 284 W. Main St., Byesville. The sink in which tomatoes and lettuce are currently being washed is not provided with an air gap as required.
