Uncle Sam Jam: Live Music, Food and Fireworks at Lafreniere Park

Uncle Sam Jam returns to Jefferson Parish on Wednesday, July 3rd, at Lafreniere Park in Metairie. The annual Independence Day celebration will begin at 4 pm with musical performances by Mad City, The Frontman, Chapel Hart, and Niko Moon. The event will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display over the park at 9:30 pm.

Uncle Sam Jam is a free festival featuring top local and national acts and a fireworks show to close out the night. No outside food or drinks are allowed." according to Uncle Sam Jam's website.

There will be delicious food and beverages for purchase by various local vendors that include Cayenne Seafood Specialties, Couzan's BBQ, Frytastic, Kona Ice, Messina' Catering, Nola Boils, Nori Guys, and more.

Stars and Stripes VIP Packages are available for $100 and include:

• Parking inside the gates for one (1) vehicle
• Four (4) VIP wristbands
• Premium stage viewing
• Private cash bar
• Private comfort station/restroom
• Additional wristbands can be purchased for $25/per person

General Parking Pass are available for $20 and include:

• Parking inside the park for one (1) vehicle
• General Parking will also be available at the gate.
• Spaces are VERY limited,​ however and they suggest purchasing in advance

New for this year, there will be a free parking available at the Shrine on Airline with a shuttle service going to and from Lafreniere Park.
