FARMINGTON HILLS, MICH. (WTAJ) — This new BBQ sauce has a kick to it, but not the way you are thinking.

5-hour Energy has partnered with actor and BBQ pro Brian Baumgartner in creating a caffeinated BBQ sauce for all your grilling needs.

Just in time for the Fourth of July, a first-of-its-kind energized BBQ sauce is on the market. 5-hour Energy’s partners at The National Flood Lab have helped create a sweet and tangy Peach Mango energized BBQ that is filled with 60 milligrams of caffeine per serving.

Baumgartner shared his recipe using the new sauce with his followers . He also just published a cookbook — Seriously Good Barbecue Cookbook — which can be purchased online .

“It takes true Big Grill Energy to work the grill. It’s an art, a science, and a passion that takes time to get things just right,” Baumgartner shared. “Whether you’re a novice or a well-seasoned pro, everyone knows you need a specific kind of energy to keep things low and slow throughout the full grilling experience. That’s why I’m incredibly stoked to be partnering with 5-hour ENERGY® to bring the secret sauce you need to crush your cookout.”

So how can you get your hands on the energized sauce? 5-hour Energy is giving it away! The sauce officially launched on June 27 and will be released on a limited basis across four weeks. Week 1 is already completely claimed, but keep an eye on their website for their next drop.
