    Steuben County Historian seeks historical recordings

    STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. ( WETM ) – Do you have old recordings of Steuben County history? If so, it may come in handy for the archives.

    The Steuben County Historian is looking for historical films from Steuben County that date back to the early 1900s up to the turn of the millennium for the archives in the Magee House. Currently, the following is available in the archives:

    • “Movie Queen,” a 1937 film in Bath
    • Lions Club film of Hornell from the 1920s through the 1940s
    • Dairy Festival parade videos
    • 1929 film of Bath
    • Numerous presentations
    Steuben County releases overdose numbers for May

    Anyone who has any home films, professional films or films sponsored by an organization is encouraged to contact the Steuben County Historian by phone at 607-664-2199 or historian@steubencountyny.gov.
