Episode 9 of Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale aired on TVING on Friday, June 28, 2024. In the latest edition, viewers witness that Moon Cha Min (Lee Jun Young) and Shin Jae Rim (Pyo Ye Jin) are in love with each other. However, they fail to confess their true feelings for one another.

The episode further shows Moon Cha Min telling Ban Dan A that he has strong feelings for Shin Jae Rim. However, his confession makes her furious and she threatens him. She tells him that she would do anything to not let him go. She further intimidates him by adding that she would harm Jae Rim and her family if necessary.

As a result, to ensure Jae Rim’s safety, Moon Cha Min decides to marry Ban Dan A and let his true love go.

Episode 9 of Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale is emotionally packed. It begins with Moon Cha Min (Lee Jun Young) and Shin Jae Rim (Pyo Ye Jin) displaying signs of love and affection for each other. Moreover, he decides to propose to her with a beautiful ring. But, on his way, Cha Min comes across Ban Dan A. He confesses that he is in love with Jae Rim, to her.

However, she lashes out at him for falling in love with Jae Rim. She tells him that she will not let him go at any cost. She also terrorizes him by adding that she will not stop herself from hurting Jae Rim and her family to keep Moon Cha Min to herself. This makes the latter quite concerned for the safety of his true love. As a result, he agrees to do whatever Ban Dan A wants him to do.

The next day in Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale episode 9, at the social club, Ban Dan A holds Moon Cha Min’s hand in front of Shin Jae Rim. She then goes on to declare their marriage to everyone in attendance. This shatters Shin Jae Rim’s heart and she thinks that Cha Min made a fool of her by showing fake affection.

Later on in the episode, Shin Jae Rim (Pyo Ye Jin) and other employees of the club find out that the venue has been shut down temporarily. They also learn that they have been given a long paid vacation period. However, Jae Rim becomes curious to learn what happened. As a result, she decides to have a conversation with Moon Cha Min (Lee Jun Young).

The next scene in episode 9 of Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale shows Jae Rim arriving at Cha Min’s apartment. There, she sees that he has an injury on his face. She tries to ask him about the series of events. But he behaves rudely with her. In order to project that he doesn’t have any sincere feelings for her, he kisses her and calls himself a player. This incident leaves Jae Rim heartbroken. She slaps Chan Min across his face and then leaves his place.

However, the following sequence reveals that Ban Dan A’s father and his hooligans vandalized Cha Min’s social club and even roughed him up. It happens after their wedding is called off because Ban Dan A realizes that she deserves a man who actually loves her.

Additionally, Moon Cha Min’s father is angry with his son for falling in love. He goes on to forbid him from being in love. However, when Cha Min refuses to do so, he takes away his business, club and house from him. In the end, he is left with nothing and that is why he let Jae Rim go and despise him.

What happens at the end of Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale ep 9?

At the end of Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale episode 9, Shin Jae Rim receives a drawing and a letter from Moon Cha Min. He had sent it before everything happened. It is a drawing that she had made in her childhood, where she drew herself as the prince charming.

In the letter, Cha Min writes that Jae Rim does not need anyone to save her, she is enough on her own. This makes her emotional and she realizes that she should love herself first and understand her own worth. The episode ends with both Jae Rim and Cha Min shedding tears by themselves.
