Mercedes Moné: Getting Time Off From WWE To Film The Mandalorian Was Like Pulling Teeth

Mercedes Moné recalls the struggles to get time off from WWE to film the Disney+ series, The Mandalorian .

All Elite Wrestling ‘s Mercedes Moné was a recent guest on WFAN . When asked if there were restrictions in her WWE contract that prevented her from doing things she wanted outside of the company, Moné said there were, and even doing The Mandalorian was like pulling teeth.

“Oh yes,” Mercedes Moné said. “That’s definitely a big reason why I came to AEW. Even doing The Mandalorian was pulling teeth with the WWE, to even try to get time off to film that show. So, Tony [Khan] said whatever I need. If I need that private jet to go from filming in LA to coming for a show, then it’s available for me.”

It’s unknown if Mercedes is expected to appear in the The Mandalorian and Grogu movie scheduled to release in 2026.
