    Shooting suspect arrested after running from authorities in San Joaquin County

    (FOX40.COM) — The suspect in a shooting that left one person injured was arrested, the San Joaquin Sheriff’s Office said.

    The sheriff’s office said deputies responded to a report of a person being shot around 4 a.m. near Eagle Crest Drive and South Oro Way just outside Stockton on Tuesday.

    According to the sheriff’s office, responding deputies found a victim with multiple gunshot wounds and another person “concealing a handgun in their waistband.”

    The sheriff’s office said the suspect ran but was apprehended.

    According to the sheriff’s office, the victim was taken to the hospital and “survived their injuries.”

    The suspect was booked into jail and is facing charges of attempted murder, assualt with a firearm, grand theft of a firearm, prohibited person in possession of a firearm and resisting arrest.
