(SOUTHERN COLORADO) — The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) said its office cannot help wildlife and instead offered other organizations that can.

HSPPR said it is not licensed to accept wildlife, including deer, raccoons, squirrels, skunks, and other non-domestic animals. For help with wildlife HSPPR recommends you contact Colorado Parks and Wildlife for licensed rehabilitators.

For help with raccoons, squirrels, skunks, bats, and rodents, you are asked to call your local pest control.

“With your compassion and help from these local agencies, we ensure all animals in our community are being cared for!” writes HSPPR.
