Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan were absent from Good Morning America on their colleague Dr. Jennifer Ashton 's last day.
Ashton's farewell from GMA3 took place on Thursday, June 27, with Whit Johnson and Rebecca Jarvis taking their seats alongside George Stephanopoulos .
Several other ABC personalities were present to bid the chief medical correspondent adieu, including fan-favorite meteorologist Ginger Zee , Lara Spencer , and Sam Champion . But the presence of both Roberts and Strahan was likely missed.
The pair of media broadcasters did, however, show up in a tribute video to Ashton, calling her a "friend." In April 2024, she announced she was moving on from the network after 13 years.
"My coworkers have become more than friends; they've become family and have seen me through the biggest professional moments of my life. I feel fortunate to have worked with the best in the business," Ashton shared of her departure.

As for Roberts and Strahan, they have been away from the NYC TV studio for several shows, leaving fans wondering when they can expect to see them back on their screens.
Last week, Roberts enjoyed travels in Portugal , sharing a few glimpses of her trip via Instagram. However, it's unclear whether she's still in the European country, as she has also been away from social media since her last upload on June 20.
Strahan, for his part, has also been missing on and off since the week of June 6 . Though no official reason has been given for his time away from work, the former NFL star's daughter, Isabella , has been undergoing chemotherapy treatment as she battles cancer, and the supportive dad has likely been spending more time by her side.
