Will Ospreay: I Really Hope Ricochet Comes To AEW

Will Ospreay hopes Ricochet comes to AEW, as he believes there’s money on the table to do a rematch.

Years ago, Will Ospreay and Ricochet clashed in buzzworthy matches in NJPW and PWG that helped take their careers to new levels. They went on to become stars in NJPW and WWE, respectively. Ospreay is quickly becoming one of the faces of AEW, and Ricochet’s WWE contract is reportedly coming up. He reportedly gave WWE notice of his intent to leave the company.

Speaking with CBS Sports’ Shakiel Mahjouri , Will Ospreay was asked to comment on how likely it was that fans would see Ricochet in AEW in the next few months, based on a scale of one to ten.

“Five. Honestly, I’ve said this to a lot of people recently,” Will Ospreay said. “I’ve been shouting his name off in the distance for years. I really do mean it for years. It’s only now just because his contract is coming up, people are thinking something’s gonna happen.

“Listen, I speak to Ricochet every now and again. There’s nothing been said between us about whether something is gonna pop off. But honestly, I hope he does. I really, really hope he does because I miss him as a friend, but I do think there’s money on the table to do a rematch, but I do think there’s also money on the table to do a tag team.”
