One man's trash is truly another man's treasure.

Have you ever walked past a neighbor's front yard or porch to see a pile of items that they're either throwing or giving away? Most of the time, these items are easily discarded, like old books or stained rugs. But once in a while you come across an absolute gem that makes you wonder, Who would ever get rid of something like this?

That's exactly what happened with this woman. She came across possibly her favorite piece of home decor yet outside of her neighbor's house. And he was giving it away! She could not believe her eyes.

What Did She Makeover This Week?

This week, she came across a gigantic metal flamingo, quite possibly an old piece of gardening decor. Maggie was astounded that someone would get rid of something so unique so she immediately got it back to her house and brainstormed about what she could do with it.

While the pink flamingo is a classic piece of yard decor, Maggie wanted to do something a little more unique and turn it into an indoor piece. So she grabbed some glue, spray paint, disco tiles, and got to work.

First, she spray painted the entire bird with silver paint as a base. Then she got started on adding her rose gold tiles to the beak and silver tiles to the rest of the bird. She had just enough rose gold ones left to finish off the feet and the bird was done!

We cannot get over how fabulous this looks. It's such a unique piece of interior home decor and with every spot of light, it shimmers brighter than ever.

It might be everyone's cup of tea, but we are obsessed with the glitz and glam. We can't believe this was about to be thrown away!
