BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Best-selling West Virginia author, S.D. Smith has announced The Found Boys , the author’s first book to be published in traditional fashion.

Published through Harvest House and described as a thrilling and nostalgic buddy-adventure, the text explores themes of friendship and forgiveness, among others.

For the release of the book, Smith partnered with ChristianBook to offer autographed editions of the release for the first 500 orders. These units sold out in just minutes, leading to more books having been made available for a limited time only.

The book is set to be released in September, and those who preorder will received a free download of the audiobook version of The Found Boys .

“It’s an exciting adventure about friendship and forgiveness,” said Smith of the new title. “Like The Green Ember , it started in my home as a gift to my kids. It’s a new story with an old soul, from my home to yours.”

The Found Boys will be S.D. Smith’s fourteenth overall release and will be published by the IP development house founded by Smith himself, Story Warren . The Story Warren development house recently published the latest from Smith, Jack Zulu , which is available through a launch special which includes a Jack Zulu mega bundle featuring both books of the set, as well as the audiobook version along with a Jack Zulu t-shirt.

S.D. Smith’s The Green Ember Series has sold over a million copies and, for a period, was the number one audiobook in the world on the Audible app. The author’s work has been highly successful in multiple formats across multiple demographics, and the release of the traditionally published The Found Boys will mark yet another evolution in his artistic journey.

Smith is a resident of West Virginia and lives in the Grandview area with his four children and wife.
