Sick of It All vocalist Lou Koller has revealed doctors discovered a tumor in his esophagus, forcing the New York hardcore vets to cancel their upcoming European tour while he gets treatment.

“They found a tumor in my esophagus that goes into my stomach, and I’ll have to be getting treatment all summer — and of course, with full support of the band,” Koller explained in an Instagram video . “As soon as they heard it, they were, like, ‘Forget the tour. Just get healthy.’ … They’re all behind me staying home and us staying home.”

Koller closed the video with a hint of optimism, saying, “Thanks for all your support and I’ll hopefully beat this thing and see you at the end of the summer… or maybe the winter.” Watch the video statement below.

Sick of It All had been set to kick off their tour in the Czech Republic on July 4th. Their most recent album, Wake the Sleeping Dragon! , was released in 2018.
