Biden’s bad debate says more about Kamala Harris than it does about him

President Joe Biden's objectively awful performance in Thursday's debate says more about Vice President Kamala Harris than it does about him.

One of the chief responsibilities of the vice president is to step in if the president has a health-related or other problem that makes her and other specified officials deem him unfit for office, whether that be temporary or permanent. Given that Biden doesn't quite seem to be "all there," so to speak, one would think that now would be the time to consider whether Harris should assume his responsibilities.

That applies to the present moment but also, more importantly, to the election. The New York Times and the Washington Post immediately reported after the debate that Democrats are already theorizing about replacing Biden on the ticket. Harris is the most obvious candidate given that her literal job is to replace Biden if needed.

With her awful approval ratings and unlikable personality, however, doing so would be a death wish for Democrats. She's somehow more unpopular than Biden. He reads off of teleprompters and uses notecards, but there's something even more tangibly fraudulent about Harris and how she talks to the public and the media.

She just can't seem to help her own cause, either. She got into an argument with CNN's Anderson Cooper on Thursday night that further proves just how unappealing she truly is. The vice president's strategy of telling the public that its eyes are lying to it finally looks like it's no longer working.

It's so ironic because much of the rhetoric around Trump's performance is that he didn't answer the moderators' questions. Harris then went on CNN and refused to give a direct answer to a single one.

The deceitful nature of the Biden administration was on full display Thursday night. It will be interesting to see how that manifests itself in November.
