    Coroner called to “farming accident” in Northumberland County

    SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— The Northumberland County Coroner was called to a fatal crash Friday afternoon, officials say.

    According to the Northumberland County Department of Public Safety, first responders were called to a crash involving a tractor-trailer and lawnmower just before 2:30 p.m. along the 1600 block of Irish Valley Road.

    Authorities say the coroner was called to the scene shortly after the crash.

    There were no other injuries according to officials, and the scene is clear, officials note.

    Stonington Volunteer Fire Department was heading the scene.
