Weekend Outlook : The ridge of high pressure will move over the Gulf of Mexico and expand across the Deep South. This will keep us hot and make it more humid. Saturday will be partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers and storms. A few storms could be strong with gusty winds and heavy rain. Highs will be in the lower to middle 90s, and it will feel like 100-105°.

A weak cold front will move into Alabama on Sunday, and this will help to bring us more scattered showers and storms with some heavy rain at times. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy, hot, and humid. High temperatures will be in the middle 90s, and the heat index will be 105-110°.

Next Week’s Outlook : On Monday, the cold front will be over South Alabama, and we will have some slightly drier air making it less humid. It will be partly cloudy and still hot with high temperatures in the middle to upper 90s. The front retreats north on Tuesday making it more humid with a partly cloudy sky. It will be hot with highs in the upper 90s and the heat index around 105°. We will have an area of high pressure sitting over the Southeast U.S. Wednesday through Friday. Each day will be partly cloudy, hot, and humid with spotty storms. High temperatures will be in the upper 90s and the heat index will be around 105°+.
