    Boil water notice lifted in Caroline County

    CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Caroline County has announced that a boil water notice which went into effect Wednesday after a water main break has been lifted.

    According to the county, ten bacteriological samples were collected within the Caroline County Public Utilities water distribution system in accordance with Virginia Department of Health regulations.

    Those samples were then tested in a lab that is certified by the Division of Consolidated Laboratory Services and all ten were negative for the presence of bacteria. According to the county, the negative results mean no health risk ever existed and the boil notice may be removed.

    Additionally, water restrictions in the county have been lowered from Level 6 to Level 3 for all customers in the Caroline County Public Utilities water distribution system.
