Sika Anoa’i, Hall of Famer and father of Roman Reigns, honored in heartfelt way by WWE

Roman Reigns is currently absent from WWE action as he builds his storyline for an inevitable return in the Bloodline saga, but there’s a chance he may delay the return as he mourns the loss of his father, Sika Anoa’i, the former member of the Wild Samoans having passed away this week.

On this week’s episode of SmackDown, the WWE unveiled an emotional video chronicling the career of the late, great Anoa’i.

Reigns also recently released a statement on the loss.

“My family and I thank everyone for the outpouring of support in the name of my father, Pola'ivao Leati Sika Anoa’i, who will forever be remembered as one half of The Wild Samoans tag team. My father had a profound impact on my entire family and we are forever grateful for the foundation he built for us. There’s no way to fill the void left by his passing but my sisters and I will do our best to represent him and his legacy.

“Rest in Power, Dad. We love you.”

Anoa’i was not only a major force inside of the ring, but also outside of it — responsible for the career success of many other wrestlers, both directly and indirectly.
