Shaquille O'Neal posted an interesting picture this week on social media, with him cuddled up with rapper Drake, who was photoshopped onto a woman's body . Shaq went on his 'Big Podcast' this week to clarify any misconceptions about the picture and his intentions with posting it.

“Let me apologize real quick. I sent out a picture the other day… The mistake I made was I should’ve said, ‘Who did this?’. Because I want Drake to know… Listen Drake has a great sense of humor. So I thought it was funny that they did that. I don’t want him to think, ‘Shaq’s trolling’. No, I’m not trolling…"

Shaq quickly issued an apology and noted that he didn't edit the picture to mock Drake and that it was someone in his circle who sent it to him. He added that he should've used a caption. Once the picture went viral, he deleted it and noted that Drake does have a sense of humor but he shouldn't have posted the picture.

"No, I didn’t photoshop it. Somebody photoshopped it and I actually saw it. And I took the picture… So Drake, I apologize, I should have put, ‘Who was this?’ On there because I don’t want you to think I did that. Somebody sent it to me, I thought it was funny and hopefully, you thought it was funny, too. But once it went viral, I definitely took it down. So my bad, big Drake.”

Shaq clearly meant no disrespect by posting that picture of Drake, and he just wanted to have some fun on social media. From the way Shaq spoke of Drake, it is clear that he has a lot of respect for him, and wasn't trying to cash in on any of the jokes that are being made about him in the wake of his legendary beef with Kendrick Lamar.

Shaq Is One Of The Most Entertaining Players Ever

Shaquille O'Neal's social media activity is among the best in NBA circles. Shaq is one of the funniest and most entertaining figures in NBA history, and he has used his social media very effectively to convey that. While he may have deleted the picture of him and Drake, there is no denying that it was a funny picture.

Shaq has also cemented his legend status as an analyst during his incredible stint with Inside The NBA. Shaq was a pivotal addition to the panel, and his chemistry with Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson was off the charts. Unfortunately, it looks as though their time together has come to an end.

Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent company of TNT, is set to lose the rights to the NBA next season, as the league inked a mammoth $7 billion media rights deal with NBC Universal, Amazon Prime, and ESPN. With them holding the rights to Inside The NBA, the deal looks set to be done.

However, NBA commissioner Adam Silver has kept fans' hopes alive, as he hinted that the legendary show may not be coming to an end , and the league will try to work out some sort of arrangement that lets the panel continue to cover games. As fans of the show, we all hope that Silver and the NBA can make this happen.
