Nighttime temperatures are also likely to remain high, with a 75% probability of staying above 73°F. Initially assessed as a Major HeatRisk (Level 3 out of 4), conditions are forecasted to escalate to an Extreme HeatRisk (Level 4 out of 4) by July 4th, continuing through the weekend. The heatwave will span from 11 AM Tuesday until 8 PM PDT Saturday, posing widespread risks due to the prolonged and intense heat, which will be particularly dangerous for those lacking sufficient cooling and hydration. The extreme temperatures are expected to strain health systems, affect heat-sensitive sectors, and challenge infrastructure resilience.
