    This Fourth of July, Americans are sticking to a budget as they celebrate the nation’s birthday. In a May 2024 GOBankingRates survey, 47% of overall respondents said they would not spend more than $100 on their Fourth of July celebrations.

    While there are plenty of retailers you can shop at to keep July Fourth costs low, certain stores like Dollar Tree and Walmart are often neck and neck when it comes to offering shoppers the best deals. GOBankingRates did a price comparison deep dive between the two stores and was surprised by the items shoppers can get the best discounts on at Dollar Tree.
