    Noah Lyles.

Noah Lyles cruised to the final of the 200m Paris Olympic trials Friday evening by clocking a time of 19.60. The reigning 200m world champion was so dominant that Christian Coleman finished .29 seconds behind him, and Robert Gregory was third with a time of 19.98.

It was such a comfortable victory for Lyles that he surprised himself by giving a "who, me?" look at the camera when his lap time flashed on the screen.

"It felt real easy," Lyles said after his blistering performance. "I was very shocked to see that time pop up. I wasn't really even trying and I shut down pretty hard at the end, too."

The 26-year-old is primed to clinch a berth in Team USA's 200m team during the final of the Olympic track and field trials on Saturday. Earlier in the week, he qualified for the 100m Olympic event for the first time after missing out on a berth at the Tokyo Olympics. With a time of 9.83, Lyles registered a convincing victory over Kenny Bednarek (9.87) and Fred Kerley (9.88) to book his ticket to Paris.

Lyles earned the "fastest man in America" title when he won the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay events at the World Athletics Championship in Budapest last year. Lyles can solidify that reputation by capturing gold at the Paris Olympics, four years after winning only a bronze medal in the 200m event.
