We’ve once again found the clips groove. Resorts that offer summer skiing, like Timberline Lodge, Oregon, have hit their stride—serving up plenty of ski footage in the process—and the snow conditions in South America are, well, absurdly good. Our European friends recently contributed to the clips pot, too, with the Scandinavian Team Battle, a competition held at an artificial ski slope in Copenhagen, Denmark.

While most of us North American folk aren’t skiing right now, there’s plenty of snowy action to keep us entertained. If you’d prefer to hone your golf swing and pretend skiing doesn’t exist for the next few months, that’s also an option. Do what you gotta do.

    Parker White’s Summer Solstice Frontflip

As is now tradition, a crowd of snowsports enthusiasts and hikers gathered at Illumination Rock beneath the peak of Mt. Hood, Oregon, for the summer solstice earlier this month. Amongst the revelers were more than few talented skiers, including Parker White, who took the opportunity to reassert his claim on the frontflip throne in front of an enormous crowd.

    The La Plagne Base Grind

Further afield, Mahé Freydier hit La Plagne, France, to see about cashing in on a free base grind. Only joking, but the line Freydier and Anthony Robert laced wasn’t for the coreshot adverse. Robert noted below his own post detailing the excursion that “we encountered some rocks on the way down.” Tools, not jewels, right?

Summer Ski Camp Kicks Off at Mt. Hood

The first week of Windells’ summer ski camp has come and gone. Dodgeball, sunshine, and, of course, slushy turns were all on tap. If anything, watching these videos makes me wish I could be 16 again so I could beg my parents to send me to summer ski camp. There really isn’t anything like Mt. Hood in the summer. Some vocals from Billy Idol only sweeten the deal.

    Copenhagen's Fake Snow Hoedown

In Copenhagen, Denmark, modern ingenuity supplants the need for natural snow, where CopenHill, an artificial ski slope, plays host to the annual Scandinavian Team Battle. Unfettered by the terrifying prospect of slamming on fake snow, the competitors threw down on June 8th, culminating in an enormous huck from Mikkel BK, who took a page out of Mary Poppins’ playbook. Watch the video recap, and you’ll see what I mean.

In South America, the Getting Is Way Too Good

And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for. Yes, it looks mind-meltingly good in South America right now. This update from Pablo Epple is the stuff of dreams. Thanks to non-stop snowfall, “go huge, take chances” conditions are in full effect. Epple wasted no time taking advantage of the bottomless powder, as he slashed, hucked, and, most importantly, made all of us extremely, extremely, jealous. The time to cash in on those frequent flier miles has come.
