Fox News host Pete Hegseth accused First Lady Jill Biden of “elder abuse” after President Joe Biden sparked concerns about his well-being in the media and politics after his poor debate performance against Donald Trump.
ON Friday’s The Ingraham Angle on Fox News Channel, Hegseth spoke with Brian Kilmeade, in for Laura Ingraham, about the First Lady and others in Biden’s inner circle, whom they characterized as propping up, leading, or even acting in a presidential capacity in place of Biden.
The two agreed that “the signal” went out this week in the press that they are now allowed to write about “the obvious” with regard to the president’s health, and then Hegseth turned to the First Lady and Biden’s inner circle.
“What Jill Biden is doing here is elder abuse. I mean, it’s it’s it’s Visiting Angels. She knows exactly what’s happening; No one more than her. And his sister Valerie would know exactly what’s happening as well,” he said. “Anita Dunn, Barack Obama, they all know. Books will be written about what’s being done behind the scenes to revive this guy.”
Since the debate there have been calls by several prominent outlets and political figures for Biden to step down as the party’s presumptive nominee.
KILMEADE: The media woke up yesterday, CNN, MSNBC, it looked like a panel that maybe you put together on Fox and Friends weekend. They couldn’t believe how bad Joe Biden did. Why are they just realizing it and why is she pushing him so hard?
HEGSETH: Well they’re in a bit of a bubble, but they’re also all complicit. They knew this. But, but they all come out together at the same time as a group. There’s protection in the herd. So they, the signal went out. Now’s the time to to write about and speak about the obvious.
What Jill Biden is doing here is elder abuse. I mean, it’s it’s it’s Visiting Angels. She knows exactly what’s happening. No one more than her and his sister Valerie would know exactly what’s happening as well. Anita Dunn, Barack Obama, they all know. Books will be written about what’s being done behind the scenes to revive this guy.
They are complicit in in the destruction of our nation. We have a military. We have conflicts! We have a border! We have crime! And we don’t have a president. The question I keep getting asked from everybody I know is Pete, who is the president? Who is the president? We don’t know who the president is right now. And when you’re the world’s top republic charged with leading the world, that’s really important. And Jill Biden has a responsibility she has completely abdicated.
Imagine if you just finished that first interview and I said, Brian, that was so good. You asked all the questions. You did great!
KILMEADE: Like a child.
HEGSETH: That’s what we’re up against right now.
KILMEADE: Right. And the thing is, you know, people say, well, isn’t that like Nancy Reagan helping out Ronald Reagan? I think she watched his back. She didn’t lead. Jill Biden seems to be leading for this. She’s leading him. And I’m wondering, is she forcing him because he doesn’t seem like he wants to jump up there and grab the microphone.
HEGSETH: He’s also pretty stubborn. So a stubborn guy with no one around him that will speak truth to him. Except an enabler right next to him who, you said, loves the spotlight and loves the power means we got a big problem.
