This week in mobile gaming, Square Enix has exposed a FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS 8th anniversary celebration, Zenless Zone Zero preps for launch and more!

It has been another busy week on the mobile gaming front, and while Call of Duty: Mobile continues to drop event details as Season Four surges forward, many other developments have been made on the mobile platform. Aside from the massive Nintendo Direct last week, Diablo Immortal has unleashed the wrath of hell with a World of Warcraft crossover, FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS celebrates a huge 8th anniversary by giving away oodles of goodies, Zenless Zone Zero preps for launch, and a few more announcements have graced mobile gamers to keep gamers gaming even in the hottest of weather.

FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS Celebrates a Big 8th Anniversary with Freebies!

During the FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS live stream on Sunday evening, game developer Hiroki Fujimoto donned a new variant of his iconic ‘Rainbow Jacket’ (a multicoloured hoodie) to deliver news to fans on the 8th anniversary of FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS. During the live stream, there were an incredible amount of details and giveaways mentioned, but Hiroki references the fans and players of FFBE for its success. In a heartwarming moment, Hiroki said “I have to say reaching this 8-year milestone is all because of the players, thank you so much!”

But after pleasantries (and a small trivia game to break up the 90 minutes of information), the live stream got down to business and let fans know what’s new regarding FFBE . The biggest announcement of the night is two new units directly from the lore of FFBE, Eithne and Fundamental Force. These two new units are Neo Vision+ ( FFBE ‘s way of saying most powerful), featuring completely original CG animated cutscenes when activating their limit bursts.

Next, the FFBE stream revealed the final chapter of the ‘Fundamental Forces’ questline launches in the game, to expand the adventure for FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS players. Fans will have to assemble the five Warriors of the Crystal and reclaim Louise’s stolen device that can stop the Dark Crystal.

The last big announcement is a new unit type, Overdrive Neo Vision Units. To cater to the broad audience of FFBE players, the first of its kind is a fan-favourite unit, Imperial Shield Wilhelm, who comes equipped with his very own Overdrive skill. Overdrive skills can only be used when certain conditions are met and a certain number of times. Wilhelm’s, for example, can only be used after “Clash of Wills” category units have acted 10 times in the same fight. But aside from the big announcements, FFBE is hosting a wealth of giveaways which can be found below.

Zenless Zone Zero Launches a New Trailer Ahead of the July 4th Release!

Next week, mobile gaming will be again taken over by HoYoverse, but until the launch, Zenless Zone Zero has one last livestream and content reveal before July 4. The 27-minute live stream can be seen below.

After reaching the title’s penultimate goal of hitting 40 million pre-registrations for Zenless Zone Zero , HoYoverse unveiled all the latest game content through its Version 1.0 Pre-Release Special Program, including new plot content in New Eridu, the just added bustling commercial district Lumina Square, the adventurers’ base Scott Outpost, and most importantly, new playable agents Lucy and Piper from the
Sons of Calydon.

For hitting the massive milestone, HoYoverse and Zenless Zone Zero have prepared generous in-game rewards, including up to 1600 Polychromes, 70 Master Tapes, 20 Encrypted Master Tapes, and 80 Boopons. Zenless Zone Zero launches on July 4 globally.

• Call of Duty: Mobile Season 4 Reloaded adds zombie gameplay as a mid-season content drop -Players can now battle enemies, both living and undead, in a new game mode supported with updated map features plus new weekly events. For the first time, mobile gaming in Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will synchronize with Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone for the Season 4 Reloaded update, sharing the same Battle Pass, weapon progression, BlackCell and overall rewards, including certain bundles across all three games.
