HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Hanover County Sheriff’s Office alerted the public to a scam going around on Facebook regarding the funeral service of Sergeant James McLaughlin.

At around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 28, the office released a statement informing the public about a fraudulent Facebook page sending friend requests to people in the community and claiming to be live streaming the funeral service of Sergeant McLaughlin.
