HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Vanderburgh County deputies say a drunk driver was tailing a stranger and attempted to enter their vehicle when they pulled over.

According to deputies, Rachel Hudson, was tailing the reporting party and supposedly drove on the wrong side of the road at one point. They say he pulled over at 2131 Mill Road where she allegedly followed him in, got out of her car and tried to get into his vehicle.

Deputies say that the reporting party witnessed her toss a bottle of whiskey into a nearby ditch before they arrived on the scene.

They say they immediately observed Hudson’s glossy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech, as well as the smell of alcoholic beverages coming from the vehicle.

Deputies say they found the bottle of whiskey in the ditch, and Hudson denied knowing about the bottle.

They say after she failed several sobriety tests and refusing to take a blood alcohol test, she was arrested on drunk driving charges.

Court records show Hudson had pleaded guilty to other drunk driving charges in the past.
