    Two people dead after crash in Montour County

    LIMESTONE TOWNSHIP, MONTOUR COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— The Montour County Coroner has confirmed that two people are dead after a crash Friday afternoon.

    Coroner Scott Lynn stated in a release that two people in separate trucks died after a multi-vehicle collision just after 2:30 at the intersection of County Line Road and Route 54.

    There have been no other confirmed injuries at this time.

    Pennsylvania State Police are handling the investigation into the crash.

    Autopsies are scheduled for July 2, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, according to the release.

    Washingtonville Fire Department, Watsontown Fire Department, Mahoning Township Fire Department, Liberty Township Fire Department, Montour County Sheriff’s Office, Montour County EMA, Milton PSP, Montoursville PSP, Public Utility Companies, and Haz Mat Teams all assisted in the crash.
