Insiders Claim Jennifer Lopez May Already Be Looking to Reconnect With This Ex Amid Ben Affleck Drama

Remember when Alex Rodriguez , better known as A-Rod, and Jennifer Lopez were an iconic item? Right when fans were mourning their failed engagement, Lopez moved on with her ex-fiancé Ben Affleck. Fast forward to June 2024, Lopez and Affleck are seemingly heading for a divorce. Insiders claim Lopez already has an eye on her ex, Rodriguez .

Amid Lopez and Affleck’s marital struggles, both have been seen without their wedding rings, on solo vacations, and more; including conflicting reports about whether Affleck has moved his things out of their marital home. And now, Lopez is contemplating moving back to New York (and allegedly hopes to reconnect with Rodriguez).

An insider told InTouch Weekly , “Even before things went totally south with Ben she was pushing for a full-time move to New York, and now she’s decided to go ahead with that after the split.”

So, if Lope goes to New York, she’ll allegedly be single, and as for Rodriguez, he’s been linked to fitness instructor Jaclyn Cordeiro for nearly two years.

However, insiders claim Lopez would still want to reconnect with him, saying she’s “even starting to miss what she had with him. He’s got a girlfriend now, but J. Lo doesn’t intend to stay single long, and she and A-Rod do have unfinished business .”

“For all his faults they did have an intense connection, he was devastated when they split up,” the insider added to the outlet. “He insists he’s happier now without her but they have a lot of mutual friends that aren’t so convinced and he’s not married or engaged, so at this point it’s not beyond the realm that they could reconnect.”

Now, earlier this month, insiders also told InTouch Weekly that A-Rod is apparently loving that Lopez’s marriage to Affleck is set to crash and burn .

“Alex fell apart when J .Lo ran off with Ben,” an insider said to the outlet. “He felt like she tossed him out with the trash when she got a better offer from Ben and it did a huge number on him. He went from planning a wedding to watching her marry someone else in what felt like the blink of an eye. It was the worst year of his life, and to make things ten times worse, J. Lo didn’t have an ounce of empathy for him. She flaunted her romance with Ben every chance she got.”

Along with that, insiders alleged he feels as though he “dodged a bullet” by not marrying Lopez.

Lopez and Rodriquez were together from 2017 to 2021. They started dating in 2017, and got engaged two years later in 2019. They called it quits in 2021. Soon after, she got back together with her ex-fiance Ben Affleck, with whom she married in 2022.
